Slick Walk

Both Slick Walk members are busy musicians first and foremost.
While DJ Robert Smith is one of the most prolific hiphop DJs in Europe - winning the German DMC Championship in 2017-, he´s been employing his skills onto numerous records and has successfully maintained his own German Hiphop band Smith&Smart over the years.

Merle served as a side man for Jazzanova, Ivy Quainoo and Flo Mega (among others) while gradually getting into producing which he´s been doing for 10 years now. He produced a select few artists in the local Berlin scene as well as launching his own project Neve Naive (released on Sonar Kollektiv) in 2012.

As a duo the combine both of their worlds which results in a lush, trip, sometimes quirky but always classic sound. Old school in new ways, as it were.
